About Us
Value Statement
Our values include providing fair wages for our employees, hiring people with lived experience from the populations we serve, giving back to the communities we work with, and serving great nutritional food.
We imagine a world where there’s no such thing as a hungry person; food is both nutritious and affordable, and organizations that serve marginalized populations are able to offer their clients wholesome meals.
Our Vision
The Mission
Our mission is to ensure that people from all walks of life are able to enjoy healthy food, and inspire service and healthier communities through the spiritinfused meals we create.
How We Got Started
Manna Feast is a social enterprise organization created by the founder of Christ-Centered Ministries which is a non-profit organization located in Inglewood, CA that is dedicated to the prevention of homelessness.
CCM’s mission is to provide interim housing and support programs that help individuals in addiction recovery to transition to mainstream society and to reclaim their lives.
Since its establishment in 2017, Manna Feast has worked closely with CCM’s programs to provide three nutritious daily meals for homeless and recovering clients at its Restoration Reentry Residence Program (RRRP) and the many disenfranchised individuals within CCM’s urban service area. Manna Feast also contracts with local non-profit organizations that have homebound and congregate living clients to prepare and deliver regular wholesome meals. To date, Manna Feast has provided more than 800,000 hot meals to individuals in need across Los Angeles County.
Manna Feast operates as a social enterprise which is a cause-driven business whose primary reason for being is to improve social objectives and serve the common good. Sustainable revenue differentiates a social enterprise from a traditional charity that relies solely on outside funding in the form of donations or grants to achieve its social mission. Manna Feast directs its excess revenue to further the mission of resolving hunger among those in need across Los Angeles County.
Manna Feast utilizes a Triple Bottom Line to achieve its mission by:
- focusing to raise profits that are allocated towards programs and services that prevent homelessness;
- ensuring that the enterprise operates in a manner that is sustainable and reduces its environmental impact; and
- striving to create a positive impact in the communities served by providing employment opportunities for disadvantaged individuals — allowing MannaFeast to play an active role in resolving homelessness and social disparities across Los Angeles County.
Manna Feast operates from two locations where its staff and volunteers prepare, package and deliver meals to clients and to contracted parties. Manna Feast is able to prepare, package, and deliver 1,500 meals in one day, and in a manner that does not require the use of refrigerators and/or microwaves.
